About Louisa Balayan

Louisa Balayan earned her M.Ed. in Educational Counseling from the University of Southern California in May 2021 prior to joining Detachment 060 in Fall 2021. Prior to starting her graduate work she attended California State University Northridge where she studied Sociology. Her passions lay in advocating for and educating students from all intersecting backgrounds. She believes in student first, cadet second; driving the necessary connections between Detachment 060, USC, and crosstowns. She hopes to create an inclusive space for cadets to expand their academic knowledge and professional/personal skills while looking within and discovering their why. She stated “You are a student and cadet but above all – you are a human being. Be good and bring good. In the end, that’s all they remember of you.” She is truly honored to serve such an important population on our USC campus.
