Lt Col Burley is a native of Buffalo, NY and received his commission through the United States Air Force Academy in 2005. Prior to joining Detachment 060, Lt Col Burley was the Executive Officer for the Deputy Commander at the Air Force Global Strike Command. In commanding Detachment 060, Lt Col Burley hopes to “enhance the culture at the Airmen of Troy and create a longstanding atmosphere that will stand the test of time and get better each year.” His leadership style prioritizes enabling cadets to “test and expand their limits… [and] train to win, knowing that failure has the ability to teach more than any success can.”
