Captain Mañalac gained his commission through AFROTC in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Prior to his position at Detachment 060, he served as the Flight Commander, Fuels Management at Kadena Air Base, Japan where he led the Air Force’s largest Fuels Operations. In his role as Detachment 060’s Recruiting Flight Commander, Education Officer, and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies he hopes to “inspire cadets to be themselves in any situation and know that they have all the skills they need to Adapt, Lead, and Overcome.”
